Lenore Huang
Lenore Huang is a singer from China with a deep appreciation for the musical diversity of cultures around the world. She first developed her specialty in the music of Latin America during her studies in Latin & Brazilian Voice at Codarts Rotterdam, where she graduated cum laude. Her journey then led her to Argentine tango, which became a central focus of her artistic path.
In 2024, with the support of het Cultuurfonds, she traveled to Buenos Aires to study tango with local musicians, immersing herself in the genre’s cultural roots. In 2025, she completed her Master’s degree in Argentine Tango Voice at Codarts, again graduating cum laude.
Huang’s performance is characterized by a deep commitment to the lyrical essence of each piece, brought to life through her distinctive voice, expressive phrasing, and multilingual proficiency. Her ability to illuminate the narrative of every song has earned recognition from leading tango figures such as Gustavo Beytelmann and Omar Mollo, establishing her as a rising talent in the European tango scene.
Stefan Brunner
After finishing his vocational degree in both electric bass and piano at Music College Regensburg, Stefan Brunner decided to pursue a specialization in Latin American music and enrolled for a Latin bass major at Codarts Rotterdam, from which he later graduated summa cum laude with a concert program of his compositions and arrangements.
Since then, he has been performing in various Latin American music styles throughout the Netherlands. His collaborations include Brazilian music groups such as Cantorias and Roda da Holanda (Lilian Vieira, Femke Smit), the Latin jazz quintet Cinco en Clave, and most recently an Argentine tango duo with Lenore Huang.
In his collaborations with Huang, Brunner utilizes his composing skills and proficiency on a variety of instruments to create arrangements specially tailored to her interpretive style and expressive power.
